I have never shot a one because as when I was younger, I couldn't afford to buy a lot of arrows (aluminum) when I creased them, so I have always shot multiple spots. How many and how often do you guys get true robin hoods. I'm not talking a split end, I have done plenty of those. Like the Robin Hood in VermontHunter's thread. To be honest, I think I've shot 3-4 true robin hoods in the couple years that I've been shooting.... but to be fair I have to say I probably shoot far more than the average bowhunter... [/ QUOTE ] Hhmmm, 5 days a week,,,, not bad for a OLD MAN... I shoot 7 days a week, regardless of the weather, consisting of 75-100 shots from a variety of yardages,,, 20, 25, 30, 40..... Almost had another one 2 days ago at 30 yards with my recurve. Broke nock completely off and damaged the arrow but it did not ram in. Only 1 I called and have a wittness for that one. I just had my first 2 weeks ago, I was happy and sad at the same time, happy that I got it, and sad that I ruined a good carbon arrow in the process. The way I look at it, you kill a deer with one well placed shot...not 5 in an 1 1/2" circle. I just switched from Gold Tip XT hunters, to Carbon Express CX 3D Selects.
