tedicast
Re: How many Robin Hoods? [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I just switched from Gold Tip XT hunters, to Carbon Express CX 3D Selects [/ QUOTE ] Why the change John ?? If I may ask... [/ QUOTE ] The main reason was to go to a lighter arrow to gain some speed on the 3D course. My trajectory was killing me at unknown distances. The second reason is a more consistent arrow. Every dozen GT's we get, we spin test to pick the best ones as BH arrows before we even cut them. The last couple dozen we have been lucky to get 3 or 4 straight arrows out of 12. That is just unaceptable. The CX's are amazingly consistent. they spin perfectly, and it already shows in my shooting. I dropped 60 grains of arrow weight, and picked up almost 20 fps. It really made a difference in the flatness of my bow from 30 to 60 yards. I was buying bare xt hunters for 55/doz. The cx's are $90/doz, but the gains i got from them are well worth $35. There was no downside to the switch in my opinion. My K.E. stayed within 2 pounds of the heavier arrow too.
