Re: Images

Luke, I did'nt know you had to do all that?

I thought you told me to wave an arrow over the keyboard that had been robinhooded, while blindfolded, and standing on one foot....it took awhile to keep my balance but it worked grin.gif

Lost a couple good keyboards in the process until I realized I had it turned around on what had to be robinhooded though blush.gifgrin.gif

Re: Images

If you have a Picture you have stored on your PC, that you would like to use as an avitar, it first has to be made smaller. Preferably thumbnail size.

STEP #1 - RESIZING

Go to your picture folder on your PC where the picture is stored.

Right click on the picture

(left click)Open with "Paint"

left Cick on "Image"

left Click on "stetch/skew"

When the box comes up, change your hieght and width from 100% to 10% and left click on "OK". If that's still too big, next time go 50% of that one.

Now, if you want to keep one picture of the original size for future developing and one of the downsized for the web, click "Save as"... re-name your picture and choose save as .jpg

When you name your picture, don't leave any spaces. example: - MoosePic2005 or moose_pic_2005

If your not interested in keeping the original format for future developing, go to "FILE" and click on "Save".You can always rename the picture by right clicking on it in your files and left clicking on "rename"

----------

You can get your avatar right from your computer file without uploading it to picture post.

Go to "My Home"

go to "Personal information, email, password, etc.....EDIT"

scroll down to that big square where it gives you options on where and how to get your avatar.

check the box that says "Upload your avatar (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)"

Then click on "BROWSE"

Go to the folder on your PC and find your picture and just click on it.

Then just scroll down and click on "SUBMIT" at the bottom of the page.

Each time you change anything in your profile, you have to click on "SUBMIT" at the bottom for it to take effect, otherwise it just goes back to where it was before.
