Tekans vs Tekan IIs???

I just bought/won 2 packs of G5 Tekans but thought one was a pack of Tekan IIs.

I wanted to see the difference in each design.

Now I have 6 1st gen Tekans which I still plan to hunt with.

Legal in VT before anyone decides to chime in with that one-LOL smirk.gif

Just curious as to the design change to make them not a barb head when open.

Anyone?

VTbowman- You won these Tekan's from my Ebay Auction. The differnece between the Tekan I's and the Tekan II's is on the Tekan II"s they made the channel that the blades slide in a little deeper. On a severe impact some people were losing blades on the orginal Tekans. I have never had anyone say that they lost a blade during an impact on game but rather when shooting cinder blocks or other hard materials.

I have personally harvested 3 deer and a bear with the orginal Tekans and they have performed flawlessly.

If you have seen the Video on these that G5 has put out you will be impressed, they shot it into a piece of plywood and the blades stayed intact! Awesome mechanical.

If you contact G5 they will send you a free copy of the video, it has about 3 hunts, how to sharpen the G5 and they talk about the Tekan as well. Can't beat free, contact them via their website and ask.

A lady named Deborah will get back with you on your email. She is awesome to deal with and can answer all your questions. That DVD is really neat and made me a believer in G5 products!! I have the Montecs, Tekan II's and the G5 peep. Plus they are from my state and I like to support companies in my state if at all possible!!
