Well I got my stand up and am feeling really good about the placement. Got up at 6:00 am that morning and went out to put the stand up around 9:00 am. Got the 3 wheeler with the cart all loaded up. grin.gif

Well a bit of humor while doing this. Starting putting the ladder up and when I was trying to get the stand strap around the tree my pants ripped on the ladder. tongue.gif Ooops

Well the ripped pants didn't stop me from getting the job done so I got it up and took a few pictrues from the stand. Its just an awsome set-up. Look close in some pictures you can see the deer trail(s).

This is all I can see from one direction of the stand. I'm sitting above all the young trees.

I took quite a few practice shots from the stand towards a target I placed on the deer trail. I'm ready to go! Only was able to shoot 2 arrows everytime because I couldn't use my other ones at the time. I have to get new vanes on them.

Re: Pictures from this Weekend

The reason why I'm taking so many pictures is because I really feel like this will be the year I take my first deer with bow. I want to remember every bit of it. This will be my 3rd year for bow hunting. Without being able to take a shot on any deer that I have seen in the past because they had to much brush in the way or a fawn comes into range I don't want to take a fawn just don't feel its right.

might want to put something right behind you....the picture you took of your stand doesnt have anything to break you up behind it.

If I would of tooken a picture from the side that the deer are coming from you can't even see my stand from there. I just put this picture together to show how I'm set up. The yellow is the deer trail the black arrow shows the way they are traveling. The arrows pointing from my stand are my shooting lanes. The tree is about 5ft into the thick brush which is the green. When I look farther back on the trail I can only see pieces of the trail, because the trees are so thick. They grow out in front of me a little bit to provide more cover. I will mainly be looking more downward towards the deer. I won't be able to see the deer completly until it is pefectly broadside to me. My shooting lanes will provide me with either a broadside shot or a quartering away shot. The deer should not even be able to notice me up there when it is coming towards me, because of the trees. The deer usually look straight down the trail also. Atleast thats what I have noticed in the pictures I have gotten. Oh and how do you like my art! grin.gif
