Jeramie
I was looking for a new stand and really though about Summit this year. The stand I have is roughly 32lbs (cheap'o). The summits run roughly 20lbs. In my grand search I ran across a Strong Built I can pick up for $50, brand new from a retailer. It has an open front for Bow hunting and chimes in at 22lbs. Anyone ever heard of them or use them? Im really curious because this is a ton cheaper then the $200+ for the summit.
rifleman25
Re: Stong Built Stands? I have bought several at the factory in La. I bought several for about 50% off. They are just as good of a stand as any I believe. I buy ladder stands from them.
MUDRUNNER
Re: Stong Built Stands? I bought a Strong Built climber about 8 years ago,and it has held up well.I still use it.You can't hardly go wrong for $50.The Summit has a few features like the climbing stirrups and the quick latch cable or whatever it's called, and my Summit is more comfortable for long sits. wtnhunt
Re: Stong Built Stands? Got an old strong built climber I got from wal mart several years ago that I used some, but had to quit using it. Too uncomfortable. Man I love my summit. unioncountyslayer
Re: Stong Built Stands? I have a 2-man ladder I bought about 4 years ago. The only complaint is that the ladder sections are pretty thin. Went to stand it up last year and the bottom section just bent right over. If you're gonna buy an extra section, you may want to reinforce it somehow before you stand it up.
