Jeramie Posted September 18, 2006 Report Share Posted September 18, 2006 “What is all this for?” You all were right. I surprised the wife and took her out to eat and to “Cats” this past weekend. She didn’t think my intentions were honorable. I tried to find her a new pair of Ruby Earrings but really didn’t find anything that impressed me. So I went with plan B. I loaded a shopping bag at Bath and Bodyworks and left it on the kitchen table for her (along with a card). My house now smells of Cucumber Mellon and Sweet Pea. That evening she thought we were heading to birthday shop for our baby’s first B-day. My mother-in-law watched the baby, which about killed my wife. She really wanted her to go with us. I finally told her no. That’s only the second time she has been away from our baby since November of last year. Anyway, PF Chang’s was good as usual. We then left and I took the “Wrong Turn” on the highway which in fact took us to Downtown Tulsa. She kept asking me where we were going. At this point she knew I was doing something special for her but she didn’t know what. I kept throwing her for a loop. During dinner I told her, “Dang, I forgot to have you bring a pair of socks!” She was lost the rest of the dinner trying to figure that out. She kept asking if we were going Ice Skating. I had planned on not telling her what we were doing until she got into the TPAC (Tulsa Performing Arts Center). That didn’t happen. We got within a block and there was a huge tour bus with “CATS” on the side. She got all excited and said, “You got me tickets to Cats! Oh……I am so Underdressed…” Regardless it was a good time. She really enjoyed herself. She did however get really cold in the theater so I went and bought her a Cats hoodie (sweatshirt). Ridiculous I tell you, I could have bought a half-dozen Goldtip XT 5575, for the price of that stupid shirt. Oh well, she has been wearing it around and even put it on after we got home to model it for me. I guess it was worth it. Needless to say I stocked up on the brownie points. She did keep asking what I wanted, “Why? It’s not even our anniversary, bday, etc.” In all honesty I may get a new Acoustic amp and Acoustic Guitar out of the deal. I’ve been looking and she talked about it several times yesterday! That wasn’t my intent but hey…. Why look a gift horse in the mouth? I’ve collected enough Brownie points to carry me for a while. [/ QUOTE ] Been married a few years have you? She came home with a smile yesterday... I got a big hug and kiss when she walked through the door. She also bragged to all the girls at the Vet clinic. I'm officially the Hero husband. I expect the death threats to roll in soon. All this for roughly $200... Man, I should have thought of this sooner!
