Swamphunter
To getting these things to stay put with the suction cup bases?
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: What is the secret Does a little moisture on the back of them work? I do that with the baby's screen for the van we have. A little spit does wonders! Maybe contact the vendor Ken and ask them!
snapper
Re: What is the secret Make sure your windows are squeaky clean...then wipe the area off where the cups will go with rubbing alchol? I really don't know...that the main reason why I never looked into those things...I picture my gun falling from one end first and breaking something! Guest Dust
Re: What is the secret I have always had that fear of slamming on the brakes then a gun slamming me in the back of the head. Weird things happen in crashes.

Weird things happen in crashes. [/ QUOTE ] That happened to me!! I was 17 and went into a ditch at about 15-20 mph. My truck took a bounce in the ditch and the guns bounced out into the back of our heads. No damage to the guns because our heads broke their fall It hurt like the dickens
Guest HaDeRonDa
Re: What is the secret Let's see a crash at 20g's multiplied by a 6 lb rifle is a lot hitting you in the back of the cranium. I thought about putting them in my truck too but then figured behind the seat was not an advertisment and was safer for me personally. Guest Dust
Re: What is the secret Now that I think about it, there are gun racks that mount behind the seat. I can't remember what they are called though.
RangerClay
Re: What is the secret I may be wrong Swampy and you can correct me. I have been told that guns are not allowed by law to be within 1500 feet of a school. If you drive by a school with one in a gun rack, am I breaking the law? I'm not being sarcastic, just curious since you are our Realtree LIO?

They also allowed an adult pistol club to compete there during the evening hours while the school was still in use by students. I have to check and certain counties and townships may have ordinances that I would not be aware of. I prefer to not make a blanket statement in open forum, and then someone get a visit from a LEO. Understand?? Dang liability again...

[/ QUOTE ] Yah it was pretty small but still the 5 largest in Oklahoma. We had a total of 26 road deputies. Oklahoma pay for deputies isn't real high on the category. The city departments pay 2 to 3 times more. But it came down to what you liked more. Dealing with rural crime or city crime.
