Good Grades = Hunting Privileges

Well, this is an update. wink.gif

The motivation is WORKING!

The 15 year boy that was FAILING school last year was required to get good grades (C or better) to hunt this fall.

The youth hunt is coming up Oct. 7th and 8th so his mother got some progress reports a bit early to see how he was doing.

Hes passing every class with a C or better and even has an A in algebra...a class he totally failed last year!

So...one week from tomorrow, he'll be sitting in the stand with me, hoping to get his first deer ever.

And I'm just as excited as he is! laugh.gif

Gotta love the motivation factor! wink.gif

Re: Good Grades = Hunting Privileges

Well I've got one excited kid on my hands now. wink.gif

This Saturday is it!

I have my gun stand all fixed up for us. Thankfully the squirrels didn't chew the straps, only the camo around the stand which I easily replaced.

I'm taking my bow along (yes its legal) cause I have a turkey tag and they've been coming in range.

Would be cool to bring home a deer and a turkey. ~L~

Saturday afternoon, if the boy hasn't taken a deer yet, my cousin is coming out to make a small push along the ridge where the deer like to bed. We do this during regular gun season with tremendous success.

I'm hoping the boy will get a chance at a big one!
