Hillbilly Posted September 29, 2006 Report Share Posted September 29, 2006 Took a shower using the products of Dead Down Wind and then sprayed some of the field spray before hitting the woods. Walked about 100 yards, still being able to see the house from where I was and found the first scrape of the 2006-2007 season and the first rub. Walked about a good 10 yards and found the 2nd rub. I went about down the side of the ridge and found a great spot to use a shotgun or muzzleloader or bow. This place would be an ideal place to go for windy days, its a flat bottom off the side of a ridge and I'm sure the deer will be here because of some white oaks. Got on top of the logging road that has produced some good hunting over the past years. Found 6 rubs on this place, nothing unusal for this ridge. Found three main trails leading to the white oaks and back to the bedding areas upon the ridge. Going to put a Ameristep Outhouse Blind 20yrds away from the trails....
