Well my dad just bought us a new 'toy' to play around on.I will try to get some pics up soon.I believe it is a Case 580C backhoe. It is in 'not bad' shape, and i almost fell over when he said what he paid for it. Everything works on it, came with an extend-a-hoe (i think thats what they call it) so we can reach out to 19 ft and dig or whatever. It came with a 30 inch bucket and a trench bucket for the back and a 1 yard bucket on the front. He paid 5k for it. smile.gif I dont know much about backhoes but i thought it was a heck of a deal.

Re: A new Toy!

Sounds like black market products. As a matter of fact mine is missing from the back yard. What is the VIN number on it. I bet they match or a least they will when I fill out the police report. grin.gif

Re: A new Toy!

Some guy that built parks had it and wanted a new one so he wanted to sell this one. After he seen how much the other ones were goin for he almost backed out of the deal but my dad already had the loan approved and the money so the guy went through with it. Got lucky on this one.

Re: A new Toy!

Saw the pic of it in your doe post. Backhoes are handy, and if the machine is running right and you know what you are doing, you can do a lot with one.

Not a bad looking backhoe, looks like an older model. Around here going price for a machine similar to that in 2wd like that one with the cab you would expect to pay anywhere from 8 thousand up depending on hours and the condition of the machine.

Could use one that size here for a couple weeks and have the mess in the bottom here cleaned out.
