popgun
Great Product Warranties: Zippo had a great warranty on their lighters. Over the last forty years I sent several back to have them repaired and they always fixed them for me at no cost other than one-way postage. I had two broken hubs on my Ameristep Brickhouse Blind after using and abusing it for two seasons. I emailed Ameristep and they had me new ones delivered in four days. Now there is Streamlight. I received two of these little flashlights for Christmas a couple of years ago. One is a standard Streamlight Stylus with the LED green bulb. I love it for getting to and from my stand early in the mornings and late in the evenings. I can’t tell you how much I have used this thing and recently had to replace the 3 AAAA batteries. It still works great and looks like it will serve me many more seasons to come. The other one is the Streamlight Stylus Reach with the clear LED bulb. It is as handy as the word handy implies. I have used it to search for Cheerios under the refrigerator as well as M&M’s under the kitchen stove. I have peered down the sparkplug holes on my motorcycle while the engine was running as well as into the gas tank. Any time I needed a little extra light, I could just twist that goose-necked element around and position it anywhere I needed it. But alas, it finally pooped out. The package said it had a lifetime warranty. I looked up the information I needed on the Internet and made a toll-free call to a service center in Kansas. They told me that if they couldn’t fix it they would forward it on to the company for repair. I was told to mail it to them by some sort of traceable carrier and they would take care of it. I mailed it to them on Sep. 11, by USPS w/delivery confirmation that cost me a total of $1.47 in a used padded envelope. Today I received a brand new one in the mail. Okay, I’ll admit it took three weeks to get it, but I am a happy camper. I will usually go out of my way to buy a product with a good warranty. I don’t want to get into any product bashing with this thread, but does anyone else out there have any really good “product warranty experiences” they want to share with us? How about the warranty on a Buck or Case knife? Any products with a really good or lifetime warranty, which was actually honored by the company? ….popgun
hutchies
Re: Great Product Warranties: Yep when my Illusion cracked a limb they gave me an 06 model. Can't beat PSE on customer service. Copper John also sent me out a free set screw for my sight. Good people making good products....
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Great Product Warranties: I broke a spring in my Ruger Single Six after many years and several thousand rounds of use. I called them and they sent me a replacement free. They even paid the postage!
BowJoe
Re: Great Product Warranties: I lost a screw on my NAP rest for the part that clamps a ball on your string to raise the rest when you draw and they sent me out a set of balls complete with screws at no charge via email. I also bragged on the Realtree.com site and they were even more appreciative of that fact.
lil hunter
Re: Great Product Warranties: I got a stealth cam awhile back. First one, didn't work right at all. It didn't ever take pictures when it was suppose to. We sent it back, a few days later, we had a brand new one in the mail, a newer model to boot. That one was also messed up. The flash didn't work right on it. After having it for a month or so, we finally sent it back. They fixed the flash on it, and had it back to us in about a week. I am pleased with their service. My dads old Knight muzzleloader use to always hit to the left. Finally we sent it back to knight, they told us it had a bad barrel and put on a new one for us, free. I dropped a primos slate call off of my boat in the garage, it landed on the concrete floor and shattered. After an e-mail to primos, we had a brand new call in just a few days. OJR
Re: Great Product Warranties: First I got a pair of shoes from Cabela's. After about 1 year one of the shoes starting squeaking when I walked! I called them and they sent a return shipping label! I returned the shoes and they sent me a new pair! No questions asked! I have had several different parts that have broken on RCBS reloading equipment and they have replaced them without any charge!
