jbeck Posted October 3, 2006 Report Share Posted October 3, 2006 Well, last night I was waiting for the fameous call. Come help us trail this buck. LOL At 7:45 the young man I took hunting Saturday called, All I heard was " Jeff, I missed a 7 pt. at 13 yards" this boy sounded like someone just took his girlfriend from him. I asked the situation, and had him replay in his mind. He said the pin was a little high when the release went off. Then the deer just seemed to duck right out of the picture. His Dad was sitting 20 yard away, and said when he grunted to stop the buck, it was a little loud. LOL I know last night he felt like poop, but by the end of today he will start to get the lucky feeling of getting another opertunity. I'm trying to convince him to take some does with his bow to up his confidence, but he really doesn't think it will help. OH WELL, we all have to do things our way sometimes. Sorry so Long, but I took this boy for his first turkey, this kid is the closest thing I have to a son. I'm just so proud of him. Even sometimes when I see a buck I have no intentions of taking a shot get really close gets the heart pounding and blood pumping, gotta love it.
