sasksheds Posted October 24, 2006 Report Share Posted October 24, 2006 As some of you know from last year my Dad's nickname is "The Bear".Well we celebrated his 75 Birthday on Sat evening.We rented a hall,had supper with around 60 freinds & family members.It went over very well.My sister & aunt came from Toronto for the party.They also enjoy fresh venison from us every year.So mon I took the 2 of them & Dad out to one of our HONEY HOLES & set up for the evening.It didnt take long until the deer started to move.We watched does with young ones feed out past us & 3 young bucks take turn jousting like teenagers in the schoolyard.They were so close we could here their antlers clashing together.We had a real show going on.We passed on another buck that came out that I call"The Unicorn Buck".He came out & we watched him make a scrape & mark every bush he went by.2 other bucks were on there way out when I spotted a larger deer enter the pasture to my left.I had seen him out there before & passed on him.Thinking that it would be a nice deer for Dad or one of my neices or nephews.So I motioned to Dad that he was a shooter.The deer stood broadside @ 100 yards for a perfect shot.Boom!
