Palssonater
Another post got me thinkin.... Anyone go above and beyond for this? I usually print up some designs, re design and then carve those in. Last year I did a haunted house that took about 5 hours in total. The year before that I had individual pumpkins and carved one letter per each to spell out "happy halloween" and put them on the fence. I usually use jigsaw/sawsall blades that I put in a wooden handle. Much better then the walmart kits. Looks like this year I will be doing a pirate skull and the lady off the big rig mudflaps....:-) Looking for some more designs this year as we are having a pumpkin carving contest for one of our parties before the social this weekend. Anyone have any resources for this?

Tominator
Re: Pumpkin Carving? We just do the standard cutting usually. Sometimes I'll download a template, but I usually just let the kids draw a design, and I carve whatever they draw.

Nick
Re: Pumpkin Carving? Heres the pumpkin I carved last year. I just found an image on the net....enlarged it to fit a whole sheet of paper and printed it out. Then I cut out the image and traced it on the pumpkin and carved it. RangerClay
Re: Pumpkin Carving? Every year I attend a pumpkin carving party with my out-laws .. oops I mean in-laws If you go to Google "Pumpkin Patterns" or "Pumpkin Stencils" there are a bunch of sites to print out patterns. However the really good ones cost money. If you take your time and do some serious searching, you can find some nice free patterns. Sorry but my new camera takes lousy night pics.
