After watching the news cast it does look like she was planning on making that "fake reaction". Well, I wonder if she knew how many people would take that seriously!! I take back what I said about her being a diva. Maybe she's not. I have no idea. I just know that it sure was risky for her to do that last night. I like the idea about her going on SNL and spoofing it. What would make it even funnier is to have Carrie Underwood on there too. They could get in a cat fight. If it were a joke, she would stick around and laugh or wink or something or start clapping wildly. She roller her eyes and was mumbling something as she walked out of camera range. I love Tricia and she is from just down the road as are Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson. But Barbara looks like the angel of death and Tricia should fire all of her handlers. Seriously. After watching the clip on the fox news yesterday, it did not look like she was joking to me, but that is just my opinion. Personally I think she was shocked and the reality hit her and she had to come up with something fast and so she played it off as a joke. Unless there is some vidoe showing her yukking it up with Carrie, I'll never believe it. You can see her continue frowning as she walks off. No way no how. If you are going to do a joke like that the key is that you let people know you are joking. She left. Lastly, if she was joking as she says she was, it was STILL INAPPROPRIATE. But she wasn't joking! This morning they reported that Tim and Faith called Carrie immediately afterwords. Reportedly Carrie was happy as a lark and said, "Tim and Faith went up a couple of notches in my book." Everyone is saying that Faith was really joking but the camera shut off before she had the chance to laugh and or smile into the glass. I can give her reason of doubt on this one. Im pretty ornery sometimes and could see myself making the same joke in the situation. There is a very real possibility that she is telling the truth mainly because the camera followed her for .03 seconds after she made the face. I heard on the radio that Leann Rimes (sp) has stuck up for Faith. Wait till you hear what Leann said about Carrie. Leann totally dissed her in a very unprofessional way. I saw something on CMT Insider where Faith made a nearly identical reaction (arms flyin and "what!") when she was nominated against Tim for a CMT award several years ago. I thought her reaction was pretty low, but after seeing that from a few years ago, I'm undecided. I hope those CMA's look good next to Carrie's PETA award. J/K. They simply gave her the award. Her family is a hunting/ ranching family like the majority of families in Northeast Oklahoma. The fact that she is from around here and doesnt eat meat surprises me more.... You ask for a Vegan burger around here and the waitress will have to ask 10-people and look it up in a dictionary before she can understand the concept...
