Swamphunter Posted November 15, 2006 Report Share Posted November 15, 2006 I spoke to a local state trooper who told me that he responded to a car/deer accident where a local hunter who had hunted all his life had struck a big deer with his motor vehicle. The hunter told the trooper that in all his years of hunting, he had never seen a buck with antlers that big in the wild. The hunter estimated it to be all of a 10 point, possibly a 12. The deer came up over the hood, smashed the windshield and was able to make it into the woods and not be found. The trooper that I spoke to is a friend of mine and was the one who looked for the buck. The thing that sucks is this accident occurred less than 200 ft from my gate to my property. That is to bad, sometimes I think people would be more successful if they hunted with a car, seems more big deer are seen that way. Hope the deer is still alive and you get to see it.
