sasksheds
A freind of mine was out the other day hunting with a buddy. They came across a pair of locked bucks. He said by the looks of their tracks in the snow that they hadnt been locked for long. There was no hope of them getting apart & they knew that their death would be long & suffering. They made the decision to shoot & tag both bucks. Each of them tagging one of the deer. They are having the heads mounted. wtnhunt
Re: Locked Bucks, pics Wow, that is a shame. The guys did the right thing to put them down. Guess those bucks in your part of the world are probably just average.
sasksheds
Re: Locked Bucks, pics Yup they only go 140-150ish.This guy usually only shoots 160 & up or nothing. But also thought that it was the right thing to do & would make a nice mount. jmb23
Re: Locked Bucks, pics this might be a dumb question but do u think it would be impossible and or dangerous 2 have tried and free them?
sasksheds
Re: Locked Bucks, pics To dangerous.plus the rut is on hard here. The chances of them surviving were slim to none if they could have cut them free. The coyotes would have been on them real quick. These bucks according to him had prob just locked up & were still very active & unaproachable. buckee
Re: Locked Bucks, pics That's great actually. It's always a shame to see two nice bucks get locked up, die, and wasted. At least this way the meat is salvaged, and the bucks are saved from a long and suffering death. I hope they get them mounted Locked together like that.
