I usually carry a few with me in case some geese fly by but I doubt I'd have time to change over anyway. One more bit of advice: Don't get the cheap shells, buy the premium shells and you won't use as many trying to kill your cripples because there will be less of them!! Good luck!! My buddy only shoots 3 inch and for geese he shoots hevi steel, not hevi shot. It is 20 bucks for 25 rounds. Wow does it kill the geese as well. Hope this helps.
