Today was an awesome day for setting our lobster traps. Light winds, calm seas and mild temps cool.gif Everything went along just great cool.gif

Now to get up at 2 am in the morning and go see what is in them cool.gif -- can't wait wink.gif

Glad to hear things went well. I wouldn't want you job for nothing. Well not unless I didn't have a job and then I'll do what it takes to feed my family.

we have 27 strings --- 26 have 14 traps in them and one has 11 traps = 375 traps

a string is 14 traps, each trap is 12 fathom (72 feet ) apart, there is a bouy line and a balloon and bouy on each end wink.gif understand yet grin.gif

yes New --- there is real money in it , like I said in the other post --- backbone of the economy and a multi multi million $ industry.

our boat cost around $300,000 , the gear around $60,000 -- so ya gotta make real $$$ to pay for it all plus make a good living wink.gif
