Newarcher
Spent Thanksgiving at the Magic Kingdom, Friday at SeaWorld, and Saturday back at the Magic Kingdom! Had a great time but it was crowded on Thanksgiving day...not so much on Saturday. It was expensive too! 3 adults and 2 kids admission..$333 per day at MK 3 adults and 2 kids admission..$266 per day at SW Two tshirts and two stuffed animals.....$108 Food for us at lunch in the park (crappy chicken fingers).....$60. Hotel in the disney complex 4 nights.....$550 But we took the pictures of the digial last night and looked at them. It was all very worth it. My daughter and son got a private meeting with Cinderella on Saturday which was priceless. I am glad to be sitting for a while though and I hope to never wait in a line again. The two rides that I would highly advise you to avoid are: 1) Stitch's great escape (lots of darkness, scary sounds, and it makes the rider feel like they are being attacked in the dark by stitch....all including the bad breath sprayed in your face by your harness). Not something that you want with a small 4 year old sitting with you Plus, we had some real classless trash behind us that were screaming as loud as it is possible...no kidding, my ears are still hurting and felt like they were bleeding afterwards. If I could have gotten out of that harness that kept pushing down on my shoulders like someone (stitch) was jumping on it, I would have been in their faces. I think they were trying to make people mad and be a nuisance because we saw them next on space mountain and they were 'thugging' around there too trying to start trouble by blocking walkways, etc. They got out of my way, I can tell you that! Anyway, this ride was an absolute horror show of anxiety and I am surprised my daughter didn't freak out. 2) Buzz lightyear ride. It was an hour and a half wait without the fast pass. We rode it because it was one of the more popular rides...had to drag my son onto it. Anyway, they would let 3 or 4 of the non-fastpass line go and then about 100-120 fast pass people go. By the time I got to the front of the line there were men in the few rows back that were screaming at the ride operators and demanding to see a manager. The guy running the line was sent elsewhere and things picked up. Seriously, there were people about to riot because of this line problem. Beyond that, the ride itself was a huge letdown...you just sat in a tub and you could turn it 360 degrees to shoot 'X's' on these martians but you got no feedback other than a scrore if you hit them. Very low tech and aggrivating. Anyway, we had a great time and even swam in the lightly heated pool in 50 degree weather to make the tots happy. Glad to be back and the money bleeding stop! Newarcher
Re: Back from Disney...... I have an 8 year old that was over much of the magic of Disney but still had a good time. My four year old was just in awe....Peter Pan's flight and Its a small world were great just watching her. I don't think I saw much of either ride except the wonder in her eyes and the smile on her face. I will probably go back one time when she is a couple more years older. Newarcher
Re: Back from Disney...... No, Lou, we didn't have time....only there three days. I forgot to mention the dolphin nursery at SeaWorld. My son makes the most realistic dolphin noise I have ever heard except for the real thing of course. Seaworld has a dolphin nursery where the juvie dolphins swim around and play. The dolphins were scattered and would roll onto their sides to look at people standing around the top of the tank. Then my son started making his dolphin noises on the end of the tank where no one else was. Suddenly, all the dolphin moved down to that end and were sticking their heads up out of the water to their pectoral fins and were looking at him. He almost went horse 'talking' to them. It was great. When he was holding dolphin court, there were no dolphins anywhere else in the tank. It was cool for him. New

Newarcher
Re: Back from Disney...... Jeramie, It was a great time. IMHO, 1 is way way way too young unless you guys just love it yourselves. At 1, they will not enjoy anything and the stimulation she would get would be overwhelming causing her to sleep the whole time....at least in my experience. I think that 4 to 5 is a great age because they are in awe of the magic of disney. However, 8, is a little late and they will be bored much of the time. They are potty trained (you hope) and they really enjoy the magic and can express what they like and don't. Plus, it is just priceless to go through things like "It's a small world" and see them waving to the inanimate objects and see them waving to the parade characters. If you can only go once, anything before 3 is a waste and the kids will probably not remember it anyway. New
