That's what I've been hearing too.Hopefully they're moving good tomorrow morning.I just talked to my cousin and he shot a doe yesterday morning at about 7:30,and in about an hour he saw 6 deer. Think what deer are left around here are now for the most part nocturnal. Afraid the warmer than average temps this week will not help this weekend for the rifle season opening back up either. I saw two mature bucks Wednesday night, one of them was with a fawn doe so I think secondary rut is going on. I have always heard that deer move better this time of year when its cold and theres snow on the ground, but we had snow on the ground here in MO for 2 weeks and there was nothing moving. I know this area has been all tracked up(a creek crossing) but I'm guessing with rifle season ending last week these tracks are probaly made at night. We will see though.
