Well i get to this spot around 10:30 that i've seen deer at between 11 and 1pm,,,, around 1:30 i hear leaves crunching very loudly comming down off a hill in front of me, saw 2 doe's come down , cross the creek and come up near me about 40 yds away, i take a chance and use my grunt tube, grunted 1x very softly, they stop and look in my direction, at the same time one of the doe's looks over her shoulder, i hear more noise comming down the opposite hill behind me, i turn my head slightly to my left and notice a buck chasing a doe comming down at an angle heading to the creek, they cross and head off in the opposite direction, i then look back to the other 2 doe's and they start walking very slowly then stop again, 1 of which looks over her shoulder in the direction of the opposite hill again, i notice 4 more doe's comming down to the creek, they stop at the bottom then turn around and head back up where they came from....... i though about shooting one of the doe's that were near me but i wasnt confident in my shot , never really have shot that far before with my bow....... that was the best afternoon hunt so far,,, didnt see anything else the rest of the day, but at least i know they still use that area alot. I'll definately be back there friday and saturday........ grin.gif
