Doc Posted December 20, 2006 Report Share Posted December 20, 2006 Last night at approx 4:30, all deer seasons here in western NY closed. At 4:35, I watched two deer step through the state land hedgerow and start grazing in my front yard. I haven't seen any deer grazing in the open since back in October when the bow season opened. We always used to joke about how the deer had a calendar and knew exactly what day to disappear. Now it appears they have watches too. Yep, we have seen them in the backyard on many occasions either the day of the season closing or the day after. Got a pic around here somewhere of 7 or 8 does about 75 yards from the back door on the closing afternoon of the 2003 season. Fortunately for them then we already had a freezer full that year.
