JakeE141414 Posted December 24, 2006 Report Share Posted December 24, 2006 I finally got permission to hunt on my G & G's property just 30 min from my house. Set up my stand on thurs the 14th and shot this one on the 16th. I sat in the stand all morning to no avail, not a thing moving. Then around 3 this one and two yearlings came running in. I made a quick decision to shoot her and at about 25 yards i had a small opening and let it fly. I thought my shot was a lil high and the arrow didn't go all the way through. Then I let her sit for almost an hour. After the wait, me and my grandpa went out to look and we followed a good blood trail for 50-60 yards until we found her. I double lunged her and we estimated her to be either a 3 or 4 and a half yr old. To say the least, my grandparents and I were happy. That's me and my dad with the deer.
