Tom2008
What kind of safety harness do you use? What company is it from? I only have a single stap one that goes around my waist and I don't like it much at all. It makes a lot of noise when I stand up and turn and it I think I need something a little more safer than something that just straps around the tree and then the other end just straps around your waist. Gator
Re: Safety Harness I have a summit full body harness, but cannot remeber which model. It has a tether line that hooks to a rope that goes around the tree. It's similiar to the ones that come with their climbers, but mine has the buckles that hook inside each other, not the straps that have to be feed through each time you put it on or take it off

PAstringking
Re: Safety Harness i use the summit one that comes with all their treestands. i really like that it is a full body but i really dont like where the leg straps are. they are very cumbersome and im looking into buying something a little more comfortable. Hardwood_HD
Re: Safety Harness I use the Hunter Safty System, its even in Realtree Hardwoods!! its nice because the straps are inside the vest and you dont worry about getting them twisted or tangled

Guest bowcrazy
Re: Safety Harness I am using the full body lineman's harnesses that come with Gorilla's stands. They give you one with each stand, I've got 2 extras still in the bag.
magnatecsteve
Re: Safety Harness I have a Gorilla Deluxe vest harness..it's ok but I wish it had just a slightly longer vest strap. The Hunters Safety System vests look to be very nice too, especially with the quick release buckles.

GWSmith
Re: Safety Harness Hungters Safety System - Bowhunter model I've got 4 extra full body harnesses I just received with a couple 2-person ladderstands I bought...PM me if your interested in one Also dont throw away your old safety belt once you do get a harness...I've used parts of one I had and attached it to a full body harness I got with another treestand and made a great climbers system for hanging stands

M00N
Re: Safety Harness Good post Tom I was about to ask this same question earlier myself, you beat me to it. I have to pick up a harness for myself for archery season and was curious about the same thing with the full harnesses as to where to start looking. I will be hunting for the first time in a stand this archery season. Those vest harnesses look really nice. I'll have to look into them. For those HSS Vests is there a measure chart for deterimining size needed?
GWSmith
Re: Safety Harness [ QUOTE ] ...For those HSS Vests is there a measure chart for deterimining size needed? [/ QUOTE ] Heres the HSS website page that has a "Contact Us" link where you could probably find out the information your looking for. Hunters Safety System Website Here's a Video that shows how they adjust: HSS Adjustment Video

wtnhunt
Re: Safety Harness Got the summit that came with my climber and a gorilla harness that came with a hangon stand. I used to use the summit, but think I might like the gorilla a little better. Would like to have one of the vests, maybe next season. DSGB
Re: Safety Harness I have been using the single strap for years, but finally got a Gorilla Harness Vest for Christmas. Not sure how it compares to some of the others, but I like it so far. I like the fact that you don't have to feed the straps like some of the others. It also has a lineman's harness as well as another strap made for use with a climber.
