TexasDeerHunter
I have a Rem Mod 7 in .260 , but I am cosidering getting rid of it for a Mountain Rifle in .260. Looking for some opinions on this. Anyone had much experience with them? Does the slender barrel on the MR affect the accuracy after a couple of shots? Born2Hunt
Re: Remington Mountain Rifle I have shot the 700Mountain that Letmgrow has and I will tell you it is one of his best shooters he has. It shot sub moa at 100 yds 3 shoot groups everytime we shot it.(7mm-08 DM)Very good shooter!!
AJ
Re: Remington Mountain Rifle What do you expect to gain by going to a Mountain Rifle? You will gain a few fps, but that's about it.
TexasDeerHunter
Re: Remington Mountain Rifle Mainly the look and feel of the MR seems to be more appealing. Definately have not had any problems with my Mod 7.

LETMGROW
Re: Remington Mountain Rifle I really like the Mountain Rifle. I bought one for my wife last Christmas [2005] and have played around with it some. It has a few features I am partial to. It is light weight, has a detachable magazine and shoots some sub-moa groups at 100 yds. Her's is in the 7-mm08 cal. I wouldn't hesitate to hunt with this for whitetails anywhere. I like it!
