Steven Posted January 24, 2007 Report Share Posted January 24, 2007 I heard on the news this evening that the Falcons are considering trading Vick to Oakland, along with the 10th draft pick, for Randy Moss, Jerry Porter and the #1 draft pick. Whatcha think? I like it because the past few years have proven that a punt returner shouldn't be your quarterback. Especially when there's a very capable QB in Schaub holding the clipboard and wearing a headset on the sidelines. Also, the Falcons haven't had a decent receiving corps in a few years- maybe they have, but they didn't have anyone to get the ball to them. I guess I'd have to say Atlanta because of the #1...but either way, that's a lot of overrated, problems players changing hands. You think the Falcons would keep Shaub or draft QB first round? I'd like to see Schaub get his shot, but if Russell comes out, I'd be more than happy with him. If it's Quinn, let him go elsewhere, or at least sit behind Schaub for a season and see what happens. Picking up Porter and Moss and trying to deal one of them elsewhere would be more than worth it to get rid of Vick and pick up Johnson, while giving Schaub his deserved shot. Why trade a problem player for two more? Unless they plan on trading them to another team, but who would want them? I do think they need to get rid of Vick, but not for those two. Vick has flashes of be a star--but that star usually becomes a falling star in the next weekend. Leave him in Atlanta and take Russel. I think the Raiders are giving up way more value than they are getting. Vick has tons of talent. Moss just doesn't want to be in Oakland. I am not against the players in the swap but the draft picks are what gets me. You are trading the #1 pick for the #10 pick. The Raiders need alot of help, I think they would be better off trading the pick. If they can get Vick,10 pick & some other picks(good 2nd round or good picks next year) then I would be all for the deal. They can get better value for that #1 pick.
