coles Posted January 29, 2007 Report Share Posted January 29, 2007 can you shoot the blazer vanes through a whisker biscuit? i would like to try them but i dont really want to take the vanes off my new Gold Tips. if they work with the WB how complicated is it to take the current vanes off and put blazers on them? Its fairly easy to remove the vanes. Just take a razor blade and scrape the old ones off making sure to get all the old glue off and then refletch. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah what he said! Mine fly great through my WB rest as well! But yeah, adding a wrap make re-fletching a lot easier! Here's an idea! Since its now the off season. Send me a few arrows, up to a one dozen. Ill wrap and re-fletch them with the wraps and vanes I have here! Figure out what it will cost to ship them here, times that by two! I wont charge for the wraps or vanes! Think of it as a test for this summer! But then if you want something different than white wraps and white vanes. You will have to buy them. I can get them at Cabelas, or you can pick them up. I did a dozen for Dartonman(Al) last year. He liked what I did. BTW! This is just an idea for you to think about! 3.5" wraps with Blazers set at a three degree right offset. I can not do helicals! Only straight fletch. Here are my arrows. (my new shop that is) I fired my last one for selling me aluminum arrows with crappy vanes that wrinkle up in a WB. He just wanted me to keep comming back to buy new arrows to replace my bent aluminums. My new shop told me the blazors are "the best" for WB's because the don't wrinkle on the edges. They fly straight and last longer. The carbons last way longer for me too. I shot a lot with these arrows this year and they still look brand new. In all I'm way better off with this set-up. I have about 6-8 dozen here when I was doing the Bohning Killer vanes. So I just whacked them in half! LOL! BTW, I just found out that Bohning has TIGER STRIPED BLAZERS!!! I might have to look into these for myself! Here is where I get my wraps now! Great guy to work with! Prices are awesome too!
