Shaun_300
Got one Sunday morning right out my grandma's door. I was just heading outside to mix some gas up for my ice auger when I saw Mr. bushytail making a mess of a pine cone all over gran's porch. Ran up and got the .22 and a CCI Stinger and slowly opened the door, he was in the garden and turned around and looked at me, POW, right between the eyes at about 8 or 9 feet. That stinger sure made a mess of him. Covered the snow in the garden with a red mist in about a 4 foot radius. Poor bugger.

Sure didn't have much of a head left.

Strut10
Re: Poor red squirrel We have a huge hemlock right off the front porch. It's a red squirrel magnet. That's a good thing. It means I don't have far to go to shoot them. A little 20 ga. SxS and some #8 shot seems to do the trick quite nicely.
