I going to have to add on..... I had to take my 6 shrits, 2 jackets and my 5 pair of jeans. Oh and I can't forget my 3 pair of shoes and move them to the hall closet.... My wifes closet looks like we are going to open a clothing store for women... Some of the stuff that she has. She hasn't worn for no till'in how long. I told her if she would get rid of some of the clothes that I can move back in... Well since shes a redhead head and all.... All I got was one of these... So how is it in your home. I never have enough closet space either!!!...for my hunting stuff that is!!! All those wool items, and insulated jackets and bibs take up a lot of room!! not to mention all my boots!!!...lol I could use a walk in closet just for my hunting stuff!! Not sure how my wife will take it if i start taking over her closet. Maybe if I color coordinate...all my blaze together, all my advantage timber together...all my hardwoods green........ They built had the house and it had 2 closets, one being a 1x3 for towels. No clue how an entire 2300 sq ft house can be built with only one clothes closet in the design. (???) After extensive remolding to remove walls, add walls, and add closets to two other bedrooms, I still have no spots for my clothing. I did manage to build myself a small (6x10) bow and gun room but thats quite full with all the hunting stuff and camo... It was 1/2 of the furnace room... LOL Oh and my wifes closets still has over 1/2 the crap in it with store tags still on them!!!! Its a 3x15 closet and you literally can not see the color of the carpet due to the piles of shoes that she never wears... No joke! Oh BTW she is a red head too so I know that look well... Tominator Posted December 18, 2004 Report Share Posted December 18, 2004 Re: How much.... this is easy. my wife takes George Carlin's "more stuff" to the extreme. if i make more space for more stuff, she buys stuff to fill it. it's a never ending cycle, i reduce stuff, she buys stuff. in answer to your question--we are presently in mid-stream of more stuff, my wife will be filling the void closet space very soon i'm afraid. Griz, I feel your pain... we have a 3 bedroom house and a large closet in the basement for storage... my wife has managed to fill her closet (in OUR bedroom), our hallway closets, and half of OUR basement closet... which was suppose to be for my hunting gear. I have been demoted to keeping my clothes in the guest bedroom. I did, however manage to keep my office closet (since my gun safe is in there) Yahoo. The wife has a ton of clothes hanging in there and also has clothes hanging in each of our kids rooms closets too. The kids closets are full of toys and theirs and my wifes clothes.
