Doc
What is going on with the availability of this ammo? I was reading on one of the other forums that a lot of guys are indicating that there is some difficulty in finding ammo, and I also have noted that the .222 remington is now often missing in the Midland flyers that I keep getting, in terms of brass. What is going on? Should I be stock-piling re-loading components for this caliber? Doc

Jeramie
Re: .222 ammo I dont reload .222 but I have a RCBS die id love to part with.... Seriously, Ive never had anything to do with one. The .223 is far more popular around here.
AJ
Re: .222 ammo The deuce is still somewhat popular with the varmint croud. Its a super accurate round that was once the first popular benchrest cartridge. This was before the PPC was created. I don't know about any shortage with the stuff. I bought a thousand empties a few years ago when I bought my CZ 527 American so I am set. Hornady, Remington, Federal, and Winchester still list the stuff in their catalogs. Doc
Re: .222 ammo So it sounds like the popularity is not on the downturn. I hope you're all right because I really love my .222 and don't want to see anything happen to the availability of components. I just got a bit concerned about the comments on the other forum, and the fact that on the more recent sales flyers from Midland, I did notice that that particular caliber was being jumped over in their brass listings. AJ
Re: .222 ammo I hear ya. You can always buy a box of 500 piece brass and be set for life.
