Swamphunter
My wife wants to purchase a pair of cross country skis as she wants to try this. What should we be looking for?? She is very small (only 5' tall), and very light. How do you measure for the correct size ski, and what kind of skis, boots and bindings are good for a beginner? Guest Mountain_Dragon
Re: Anyone cross country ski?? I used to x-country and telemark. Quit quite a few years ago, but have been thinking about getting back into it. The best thing to do is to find a ski shop that has a good x-country department. They can get her fit pretty easily. A good shop will be happy to give all the help you need. I would also google cross-country skiing and you should find an overwhelming amount of info. It might pay to hit the shop with a little knowledge to make sure they don't sell her an expensive package that really isn't what she needs. This might be a good start: www.xcskiworld.com
