Yeah, guys... well, um, I remember last year, in the poker tournament I was playing... 16 hours later, carpal tunnel (shuffling decks of cards), caloused fingers, and back spasms... now, them there are the REAL athletes (LOL) Cheap shot, but not intentional... the fine fit the penalty... Darius isn't a dirty player, but recognized the hit (although unitentional) was dirty... he actually called Ferguson and appolgoized while in the hospital. Someone here please tell me that at least one of you played football in high school or college. I played both and can tell you that when you're going 90 to nothing stuff happens that you didn't intend. That was NO cheap shot. Darius has never been accused of being a dirty player and the NFL agreed. He got a $75,000 fine but no suspension. I say cudos to the league for taking is past into account and giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'ld like to see anyone run a 4.4 40 whilke trying to strip a receiver of the ball and then try to stop on a dime. Not one person here could. It's an unfortunate part of the game.....stuff happens. I had my knee destroyed after the whistle had blown because a Defensive end and a tight end were looked up going full tilt and the TE came down on my knee. It happens and you have to accept that. Been in if sinch 7th grade and am gonna miss it dearly. For this fall nothing matterd except football. I got my goose hunting in saturday mornings and was at pratice at 9 am till noon. Pratice after school till 6 monday, tuesday, wednesday not includeing lifting weights and film on my own time. I played in a state football championship D1. Did my girlfriend help me get that far, no. Did my hunting skills... sadly no. Did my life for a moment go on hold for my friends and teamates. To make our last time all together in the same circumstance the best it could have been. I think so, we never won that gold ball but ****, not much you can do about that now. That statment there makes me woner if you ever have played football. You may have sucked if you did. But maybe you just quit cause you couldn't make just one thing matter for about 4 years. But i can tell you without a doubt that is one of the most painfull things an athlete can have. Since you prolly know nothing about running. You run on the balls of your feet. I ran the race at conference and was out for the next 2 weeks and no pratice. I mad e the injury worse. (then i made my run to state ) and i am done with this topic. 2 diffrent points of view. I'm gonna keep mine, you keep yours.. and lets just forget about this and talk hunting Thats one think I'm shure we can all agree on. I played baseball and basketball. I was pretty good at both sports, but never played football. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings but it kind of made me mad when you compared nascar drivers to football players espically when said they should pull up their skirts. But it's kind of bad when you said you were mocking?? Mocking who? I never heard someone say that they shouldn't wear the safety harnesses and should pull up their skirts so I have no idea who you were mocking... urself I guess. I didn't have football at my school, but we did play tackle football in gravel lot for the heck of it. No Flags, no penelties... I know what sarcastic means but talking about it serious or not about something that deals with a life on the line, then that isn't funny to me. Maybe it is too you. I'm tired of hearing about their bumps and bruises and complaining about being hit. This includes "all" sports...its a game. If you don't like it, get a real job making millions less. I like sport and enjoy watching them...but I feel these guys/gals are way over paid to be sitting on a bench with a sore finger! Agree to disagree.
