jerdanmagic Posted December 20, 2004 Report Share Posted December 20, 2004 Well, yesterday a buddy of mine and I were making the rounds on his place, Checking feeders and also checking a hog trap. When we came to the trap, we saw a pretty large buck in it!! It was a about a 2 year old nine point. We were able to let him out before he hurt himself too bad. he was really going crazy in the pen, but he ran out and he didn't seem to be limping or anything. We sure were glad that he wasn't hurt. Growing up I had a neighbor that picked up a fawn and raised it. It become a pretty good buck but he got real aggressive. I think they finally let him go. It ran around loose all of the time, no fences at all. It would come up and eat out of your hand. Loved to play with the dogs and would lick their old black cat until the cat was soaking wet. The deer would actually walk up on their back porch and stare into the windows until someone came out and fed or petted it.
