Guest malikai
Hello folks, I am about to cook four venison chops, which are about 1 inch thick, and are in a circular cut, about an inch around. I was wondering what temperature I should preheat my oven to and the amount of time I should cook it if I want it to be medium rare. Thanks alot, Cheers, Joe
johnf
Re: A quick cooking question AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Blasfamy Put some butter in a frying pan on high heat. Let the butter heat untill it almost starts to turn brown. 2 minutes on one side, flip it 2 minutes on the other side. Take off heat and let stand for 2 minutes. wtnhunt
Re: A quick cooking question We never cook venison in the oven, unless it is ground and we are making broiled veni lipton onion burgers or veni meatloaf. When we cook it that way it goes in at 325. Cooking in the oven, might wrap in foil with bacon and some fresh peppers and onions, otherwise it will likely get very dried out. Guest davidmil
Re: A quick cooking question When I'm cooking for me... I do it "Johnf Style". If I'm cooking for non-hunters it becomes involved but very good.
