AJ
Has anyone received any of the new 2007 presidential dollars yet? They are similar to the Sacagewia (same color and size) but have the presidents faces on them. They are to come out like the state quarter with something like 4 different ones per year. The standard wording on the coin is on the outside rim. I have picked up the Denver Mint bank rolls of them. If anyone else collects them and would like to trade a bank roll of Denver Mint for a Philly Mint roll, let me know.
Shaun_300
Re: Presidential Dollar Those are cool AJ! I'm surprised the States doesn't have one dollar coins as regular currency. We have both one (loonie) and two (toonie) dollar coins as regular currency up here. Our lowest bill is $5. Haven't had $1 bills since the 80s and haven't had $2 bills since '96. AJ
Re: Presidential Dollar Yeah Shaun, the mint is trying to push them but the public does not like to carry change. The dollar coin has been a flop for a few decades now.

AJ
Re: Presidential Dollar The Presidential dollars come in rolls of $25. As for as the state quarters, The Tennessee is the highest priced single quarter. The 1999 silver proof set is selling for ~$350 for 5 quarters. IowaDeerHunter
Re: Presidential Dollar Quick question. Looking at that sight, why would you pay $36+ dollars for a $25 dollar roll of coins, can't you buy them for $25 at the bank?

AJ
Re: Presidential Dollar Yep, I know I can buy them from the mint, but I don't plan on spending $300 on $200 in new coins. If it was older coins, that's another story but not new ones. Right now, they are face value. Coin shops are selling them individually for $1.75 - $2.00 per coin. I picked up 4 rolls of them from my bank for face value. Presidential $1 Coin Program At least one of the redeeming things is Slick Willy will not be on them...unless he dies by 2014. Heck, I don't even carry cash much anymore- just use the debit card!~ You can use it almost anywhere these days!
