ScottyLuck
I have refletched some of my practice arrows about a dozen times with no arrow damage. I'd say the sharp blade is your problem. You're digging into your arrows with the sharp blade. I use a very dull utility knife blade. It doesn't have to be sharp to cut through the vane and scrape the glue off. If the vanes are real tough to get off you might want to try to use a little less glue when refletching. It doesn't take much for good adhesion.
billygoat
Re: How often do you????? Do not refletch my own arrows, but I have had my carbons fletched x3 and had no problems with them slivering, try Scotts idea, duller blade, sounds like you may be digging a little too much. wtnhunt
Re: How often do you????? I refletch as they need it. I primarily use the same arrows for target practice and shoot my hunting arrows very little. The target arrows, I am guessing I have refletched some of them 3-4 times, and they seem to be just fine.
