BAMABUCKS
Re: TURKEY TEAM #10 Tried to get us on the board this morning, but the birds didn't cooperate. Only heard 3 birds this morning WAY off. I think the weather played a big role in all of it. Oh well...we'll be back out in the morning. BAMABUCKS
Re: TURKEY TEAM #10 Perfect. If any of you know Alex Williams or have heard of him on here (he is a custom call maker from Georgia)...his company logo (artwork) is what he refers to as the "Ghost Gobbler". If you get a chance check out his website... www.williamscustomcalls.com Alex is a great guy & makes some beautiful pot calls that sound awesome. BTW...if you look at the web site, the turkey on the home page belongs to me.

BAMABUCKS
Re: TURKEY TEAM #10 I'm here. Just been getting my butt kicked by these Bama birds. First 2 1/2 weeks of the season the gobbeling has been slow at best. Birds really henned up & not doing much. I had my best morning out Tuesday as far as hearing birds. Holding on to hope that things are only going to get better. I have been dueling with one particular bird which has 13 hens with him. Right now the score is 5-0, but each time I am getting closer. Went in Monday morning WWWWAAAAYYYY early & set up where he has flown down every time. Well it worked to perfection...almost. He pitched down & landed 35 steps from me, but was directly over my left shoulder. So instead of swinging on him & risking injuring him or spooking him to bad, I let him just ease on off with the ladies to do battle another day. Will be back in the morning (early again) to see if I can take the lead for good in this ballgame. Will have to get him early though; my son's baseball season kicks off tomorrow morning with opening ceremonies at 9:00 am. I will post the pics when he loses (the bird not my son). Good luck to all of you who are fixing to get it started.

Jeramie
Re: TURKEY TEAM #10 Wind! A bad cold front came in last week. We were in the 40's all weekend with high winds. The bird gobbled like crazy for about 10-minutes and then the wind picked up both Friday and Saturday morning. They disappeared after that..... BAMABUCKS
Re: TURKEY TEAM #10 April 11 - finally connect on one this morning. The team is on the board. Check out the photo submission thread. 27 days into our season (with maybe 5 days not in the field) & I finally got one to play the game. This makes the 5th bird that has been within the 40 yard limit, but the 1st that has presented a shot. Man am I glad to have that monkey off my back! Good luck to the rest of ya'll.
