THE BOY FINALLY GOT HIS BOW !!!!!!!!

Well after waiting 5 long weeks Cole's new Mathews Ignition finally came in. We rushed over after work and school to get it. By the time we got home it was already dark, but do you think that stopped us???? NO!!!!!!!!!!!

I brought the back-up foam around under the pole light, turned on all the outside lights, (it looked like we were landing a 747) and shot until he couldn't shoot anymore.

He loves that bow as much as I love my Switchback.

He only has a 19" draw so his arrows look like crossbow shafts.

That little bow is awesome. It shoots so much better than the bow he had it's like going from a beat up old truck to a HUMMER smile.gif

For a youth bow it's really fast and doesn't make a sound. It even has string suppressors on it.

I'll get some pics of him and his bow up tomarrow after I get home from work.

Well here is some pics of Cole and his new bow and my youngest also shooting. She got Cole's old bow. I think she is just as excited as Cole is. I hope these pics stay here, if not I'll fix it tomarrow. Oh, Cayle will be 6 March 25th, and Cole will be 9 in May.

How fast is he growing? His draw length is already about an inch too short. The string isn't touching his nose and his bow arm is bent too much.

Thanks for the dampner frown.giffrown.gif

I've taught him to keep his left arm bent as I do so the string doesn't scrape down his/our arm.for the draw lenth, we're just getting use to the bow. I kind of think we can maybe go up atleast another inch myself. Which won't cost us anything to change cams.

Re: THE BOY FINALLY GOT HIS BOW !!!!!!!!

Sorry. I'm not really trying to rain on your parade. It's better to be too short than too long. I just saw that it looked like the string isn't touching his nose and then I thought IF it was then his elbow would REALLY be bent a lot. Some bend is fine for just the reason you stated.

Congrats on the new bow. It looks very nice. Hope he enjoys it.
