[/ QUOTE ] An F-150 w/a 305? Perhaps a 302. The 305 is a GM motor. Your fuel mileage is gonna depend on alot of variables ( ie. the motors condition, rear end gearing, transmission ) . Since it's a half ton I'd imagine the rear end gearing would be in the 3:23, or 3:42 range (not sure on exact #s for ford) I'd say it has either the 300 inline 6 or the 302 V8. Dad told me what kind of motor was in it but I cant remember for the life of me. Im not sure. I get 17.8 in my car. Told me he would loan the money to me if I wanted to buy it. But it would run with the new style Z-28's that came out in '82 in the 1/4 mile. With 31x10.50's on it it made right in the 15-15.5 mpg range. Reminds me of when I bought a Camaro back in the 1980's...people would ask the mileage I got and I'd say, "It's a Camaro, I didn't buy it looking for good gas mileage" You just gotta expect less than 15 mpg being the high end with full sized trucks.
