Slugger
I just ordered a truglo trupoint holographic sight on friday. its scheduled to be here tuesday the 27th. I cant wait. i had a cheap 2.5 power shotgun scope but after less than 10 shots of regular highbrass to get it sighted it the picture went blurry. so i sent it back to bass pro and bought the truglo from natchez. its going on my 835. it has fiber optic sights from the factory but it shoots left even with the sight as far right as it will go. also bought a supermax hevishot tube and some 3.5 #6 hevi shot. Sorry to ramble but my wife was tired of hearing about it. will show pics and test targets within a week or so.
Rhino
Re: truglo holographic sight. You'll like it. A friend of mine has that one on his turkey gun. I have the Bushnell and bought it when they first came out on the market. If I recall the Truglo is about 1/2 the money of the Bushnell but it works just as good. Remember to carry some spare batteries with you just in case. As a precaution, plan on putting new batteries in it every year whether it needs it or not. Changing them in the field with a gobbling turkey in front of you can get hectic. Been there...done that before I started putting new batteries in it right before the season started. Slugger
Re: truglo holographic sight. yeah the truglos are about 200 at natchezz and more everywhere else. glad to hear about it from someone bcause i dont know anyone who has it. just went out on a limb and guessed it would b ok. the only thing i was worried about was the auto rheostat or however you spell it. i know brightness is the issue with most reddots on a sunny spring morning or afternoon. anyway thanks for the input
Rhino
Re: truglo holographic sight. The brightness adjustment is just a knob so piece of cake getting it set where you want it. When the sun comes up you'll probably find yourself setting it on the highest setting. On the holosight there are buttons to adjust to go brighter or dimmer. The knob design is a more user friendly feature than the up and down buttons on my holosight. Once you're sighted in with the turkey load that suits your gun best there's no excuses for missing anymore.
