Guest Hunter36
This summer Im lookin to change bradheads was using ultimate steels but had problems. I would like to know opinions on some of the fixed blades I will not use mechanicals. My two choice thoughts so far are the G5 Montec, Shuttle T what do you guys think about those and what are some others BESIDES thunderheads and Muzzy. I shoot a 2007 Bowtech patriot, Maxima Hunter 350 arrows, 26.5 inch draw set at 70 pounds. Shootin deer only!!!
dlriggins
I tried crimson talons Did the job but the blade decentegrated after impact leaving razors throughout the chest cavity Had to be very careful when dressing. You might try Cabelas.com I like the thunderhead 100 but to each his own
Guest bowhunter56
i like the G5 new one out last year,,,Striker..scary sharp and fly straight.
dartonman
I shoot the Magnus Stingers.....quiet, fast and sharp.....I can shoot small cantelopes dead on, dead center out to 50 yards......so if we ever hunt fruit together...Im a shoe in for the pope and young cantelope...lol....I heard good about the newer G5 broadheads, not much on the shuttle yet.....I keep it simple...two blade, cut on contact heads..........not much for blood trail...but not long blood trails......simply love their accuracy and they kill em fast...........al
buckee
I'm still in love with my G5's and I haven't even tried the new ones yet
Equalizer
I like Slick tricks. they are super tough and they fly just like your field tips. www.slicktrick.net
BuckNrut
I had great success last year using a 4-blade broadhead from Wasp, the same makers of the Slick Tricks. I think it's called the "Boss". The price was quite reasonable too.
JDAWG
I like Slick tricks. they are super tough and they fly just like your field tips. www.slicktrick.net I switched to these last year, they flew great. Try them.
Gator
Another vote for the Magnus Stingers. The doe I shot had a heckuva blood trail to boot, but she didn't run 40yds
wtnhunt
Dont know, would have suggested muzzy's, but guess you dont want to use them.
coles
i have not tried them but i have heard nothing but great things about the Shuttle T-Locks. i saw a pic of the wound it made on a polar bear and it was brutal. you might want to give them a try. As for me...I shoot muzzy 3 blades.

Squirrelhunter91
If you're so turned off to Muzzy's, take a look at the Slick Trick. www.slicktrick.net

Guest Finn
Curious why you aren't interested in Muzzy?
Guest Hunter36
Shot the Thunderheads and Muzzy heads and dont like them. They dont fly as well as I would like.
husker
hunter 36 i use the g5 montecs (the old ones) and they have blown through every deer i've shot at. from as far as thirty yards and as close as 10. it has been my experience that they fly almost as good as field points, and with very little work they are scary sharp. 9the old ones)
woodshed
I have better accuracy and flight with muzzy 3 blade than I did with G5 Montecs.
Tom2008
I use Sonic 100s and absolutley love them! They fly as well if not better than my field points! A friend of mine used them last season and had awesome blood trails on two deer.
PAstringking
i love my slick tricks....100g Magnums fly great with my maxima 350's
Hardwood_HD
i used the Montecs last year but didnt end up taking a deer with them, they fly great out of my bow but i saw the Magnus Stinger BuzzCuts and they really look good so i might have to do the switch this year
IowaDeerHunter
Slick tricks here also. These things are rock solid and razor sharp. With the thick steel blades and steel ferule they are hard to break. Just resharpen after use and you are good to go on another kill. I highly recomend them. Oh yeah, flight is just like field point!
