ildrhntr
Well we just got back from our turkey hunt in Texas County, Missouri. The final score was Turkeys 3 Hunters 0. It was a fun trip and we saw lots of gobblers but I realized this Illinois boy needs to learn some more about turkey hunting.
need2hunt
LOL I know the feeling! Don't know if this will make you feel any better but I've been going to Missouri for around 12 years now and this year so far has been probably the second hardest year that I've seen. wheelin99xj
I live in MO and it has been a tough season so far. Killed one opening morning and haven't had any luck the past two weekends.
toddyboman
I am in the NE MO and it has been a tough year. I read in the MO conservationist that in 2005 we had a bad hatch. So this year would be hard since there would be fewer two year old birds. Maybe thats part of the reason. Of course this crazy weather we had didnt help IMO. Rhino
Sorry to hear you went home empty handed. I'll bet you learned some lessons from the turkey hunting experience you had in MO though.
Fullfan
Mo Hunt I also hunted in Texas and Shannon Co's. This was year 16 for me and year 30 for my father in-law. Worst hunting we have ever seen. The most birds I could hear in the am was 3. On the first sat I ran into 6 other guys. We hunt along the Current river. Turkeys 4 us 0...
