Ravin R10 man
:DLast day of her season was Sunday, so after we watched the race and # 24 made my day,....we went out to set up a ground blind on a field egde, and wait for a gobbler to step out and feed before roosting. Got set up about 4:30 p.m....temps were in the low 80's with 30 mph winds... we put out no decoys and did no calling..about 5:25 a gobbler steps out at 45 yards and starts feeding in the corn stubble field. He looked to be heading across and away, so I clucked a couple times with my mouth diaphram, he immediately turned and ran back towards the woods, but stopped before going in. he raised up and was looking around..and... "BANG"..he did a backflip and that was all she wrote for him!!..LOL The gobbler was 20# and had a 10" beard, with 7/8 inch spurs. Guess who's hooked now!!..LOL We sat for a bit and saw four hens feed across infront of us. Thanks slughunter for the camo!!! when I went out to retrieve the bird I couldnt even see her along the egde!!

Ravin R10 man
update on those roosted birds we were on...I found out that one of them was a 28# bird. They went off the field in the direction a guy was hunting that morning. His pic was in the paper today.
