Griz
Here ya go Team Beard Busters... Today is the last day of our season. It has been tough this year. The birds were very hard to hunt. At 8 am. this Sunday morning I was able to lay one down to rest. Needless to say I dropped to one knee and thank the good Lord up above for my success... I spotted the bird with a hen strutting in a open field. I was able to sneak around and get set upon them. The Hen was leading the long beard away from me. I then had to belly crawl 60 yards plus to get closer to him. I lost sight of him for a bit. I pulled out my Slate Call and started making some yelps. Only to find out I was calling the Hen back to me. The long Beard came with in 20 yards from me when my 835 barked at him and said goodnight... Here's the specs on the bird... 22lbs. 9 3/4" beard 1" spur I have had some very bad computer problems here. I have to download a picture program and once I get that done I will post some pics of my Last Day Bird... I'll tella folks, this was the my best hunt ever. I was really starting to think I wasn't going to pull one off this year... Wish yall could have seen it... Very Excited... Griz...
