My in-laws ran out of gas one time when they were fishing on Lake Okeechobee. It was night time. They said the mosquitoes were so thick you could constantly rake hundreds off your arms. They almost considered jumping into the water but there were too many alligators around. The trolling motor only got them so far before the battery died. They were lucky enough to see some people loading their boat up at a ramp and hollered to them for help. Said they'd NEVER seen mosquitoes like that in their lives. And next time they'll be sure to take their Thermacells.

Better bring along some extra gas next time too.:p:)

I can remember growing up in New Jersey back in the early 70's we could hear the mosquito man coming down the street with his truck spraying a thick fog into the air and neighbor hood. We would be yelling "Here comes the mosquito man !! The mosquito mans coming !! Then we would hurry to get on our bikes and ride in the fog of insecticide   now i know what happened too me :D :D
