Griz Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 I have been using Goldtip XT's for hunting. I have been having one heck of a time keeping inserts in them. I have tried several different types of glue and they still come out. I go through all the steps cleaning them and all of that and no luck. It's like the Goldtip's are defective or something... Griz Posted June 19, 2007 Author Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 Yeah, I have used denatured alcohol and no dice. I even went as far as using acid tone and they will still pull out. I think I have a tube of every type of glue made...LOL... Once I glue them in I have let them set for a day or two... Not sure what the deal is... It's got me confused... Crazy...Ain't it... (Carbon Arrow Prep Tool) the inside of your set of shafts is too smooth for any type of adheasion.. Did these inserts come with those shafts ??? It sure sounds like you may have the wrong size inserts for that diameter shaft.. I'm just shooting in the dark here,, but I'd try some different inserts... Another trick that you could try is to steel wool the inserts as well as prepping the inside of the shaft... I use AAE Fast Set Gel for glue,, but I really think you can safely say it's not a glue issue.. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
