Randy
Here's the situation. My 6 year old is a coke addict. (at least when mom isn't home) I got home from work today and he asked me for something to drink. I being the caring one said "would you like a can of Coke?" His eyes lit up and he said "sure" I had a rough day at the prison training and eating A wild game feed that some of the team members put on so, I grabbed an ice cream bar out of the freezer. Well, so did he. LOL Here's the problem, he was trying to put his Coke up on the counter and spilled the whole can!! (what a waste) LOL He felt really bad about it but, after I cleaned it all up asked for another can! I told him that if he spilled it I was going to make him eat the can. LOL What do you suppose happened? Yep, all over the table this time!! What do you all think I should do?? He tried a bite but said the can was to hard. LOL I need a little advice please! :D

buckee
Here is the best advise I have to give, and this comes from a guy who was physically, and verbally abused as a child. Never tell your children you're going to do something to them, or they have to do something, as a consequence of any action, unless you really mean it. In this case I think it's safe to say, you can laugh it off, because eating the can was an unreasonable punishment and only a joke on your part anyway.....right
LifeNRA
Call your wife.....she must be the brains of the family.:D:D LMBO!!!!!!! If you must give him soda, you might want to try caffine free coke! Kids dont need this at this age! JMHO! Soda in general, even sugar free is not good for their growing teeth. Randy
Alright, I'll come clean now. He does really like coke. It is kind of a treat for him as he very seldom every gets any. We are not big soda drinkers (unless mixed with a little something ). He as well as his little sister are very big milk drinkers. Over a gallon every two days. I probably am a bit more lenient than their mother. I just thought it was funny to have both of the cans spilt and that many of you could relate to cleaning little messes up after your kids. Sorry if I misled anyone. I think I'll take them to McDonalds for supper now!! :D BTW, I'll make sure they brush extra good tonight!! My kids usually drink kool aid, milk, or water. They rarelly ever drink any soda.
RangerClay
I see this as one of those coincidental accidents If he were making the mess on purpose I would make the boy clean up the soda.
Jeramie
Im guessing it was an accident. I know where you're coming from. My 20-month old is like a walking tornado. She can level the house in less than an hour.... You know what they say about kids, "Cleaning up after a kid is like shoveling snow....... While its still snowing!" Nut
Randy the best thing is to laugh it off and help him clean up the spills. At least until he is older and does not create a bigger mess cleaning up.Then he cleans it himself:D;)
dartonman
Heck with the cans....if you want him to drink pop, get bottles.....they are easier to digest....lol..............seriously....accidents, esp. kids happens.....mine are always looking forward for the shovel and dog poo patrol I tell them Im gonna give them as punishment...yea right....keep the milk flowing, and for a healthy alternative, get some juice boxes....not the fake cool aid stuff, real juice.....small, own straw, easy to handle...and digest...lol...their paper......have a great one buddy............al
Guest tornado
Randy if you read this one, I'm agreeing with Andrea! Obviously your vacation did no good! LOL
stevebeilgard
sorry, but after spilling the 1st one, that would have been it. i'd have told him to have a water, a milk, or whatever. that way, they do learn to be more careful. then, i'd offer a can of coke the next day.
