Question about the new Monster Bucks video?

Did anyone see the David Blanton hunt in Wyoming? I'm not trying to say anything bad about David or Realtree but it didnt even look like he hit that deer. I put it in slow motion and it looked like he shot over the deer. Did anyone see the same thing as me?

I just watched it on my 'puter to check it out. The shot does look kind of funny, but he definitely gets him. I think as the deer turns into the shot your picking up the arrow in the brighter sunlight behind the deer after it passes through. If you keep viewing after the shot you can pick out the entrance wound as the deer turns, and the exit wound as it runs away. Looks like he hits it a little forward in the shoulder and it exits right behind the far leg.

Yep, regular speed looked like he shot in front of the deer. We watched it back on the dvd player frame by frame over and over several times and then also in different slow mo speeds, and even zoomed in a bit and watched it that way too. Looked like the arrow flexed when it hit and he did hit forward a bit, but he definitely hit the deer.

I remember seeing the same thing you did. Said to myself "he didn't even hit that deer..."

Then I did what Gary is saying, and I agree with him. If you frame by frame it, you can see the patch of fur that gets cut.
